KS1 Class Teacher and Phonics Lead  - Permanent  - Required from September 2026

 

Upper KS2 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Fixed Term - 12 months or upon the return of the substantive post holder whichever is sooner - Required from September 2026

About the Role
The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding teaching ability, teamwork, dedication and passion in order to help our children achieve their full potential.

 

They will work seamlessly with the Headteacher, staff and Governors to ensure inclusive learning for pupils. 

 

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Be an excellent teacher with a proven track record of securing outstanding outcomes for pupils
  • Have high expectations for all learners.
  • Lead phonics provision, support staff, analyse data, and ensure strong outcomes for all pupils, contributing to the wider development of literacy and school improvement.
  • Be committed to maintaining the character and ethos of the school
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school by leading an extracurricular club, and attend residential visits.
  • Be committed to the inclusion, safeguarding and welfare of children

Our school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children.  We expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to all the relevant pre-employment checks set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education, including an enhanced DBS certificate with barred list check.

 

Appointment to the position will be subject to suitable references and professional qualifications. A minimum of two references will be required. One must be your existing / most recent employer. References will be checked prior to the interview process. Please note that open or generic references will not be accepted as part of our recruitment process. Also as part of the shortlisting process, we will carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on all shortlisted candidates prior to interview.
