About the role

An opportunity has arisen to join our excellent team in our Speech and Language Resource Base. This is full time post which involves 4 days teaching of up to 16 children with SEND. There are two groups of children who attend with one group attending on Monday and Tuesday and the second group attending Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is used to liaise and support ‘Home Schools’ in transition and accessing and delivering speech support. Thus 5 days in total (full time).


The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding and enthusiastic teacher with a proven track record
  • Have an excellent understanding of SEND and supporting children with speech difficulties
  • Proven subject lead experience (particularly in science / PSHE / history)
  • Have experience of teaching Early Years and KS1
  • Have high expectations of children’s achievements and behaviour
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills including liaising with other professionals
  • Reflect on own practice and take an open-minded approach
  • Support the vision, ethos and priorities of the school at all times.
